After a day travelling we arrived in Quito last night - we were all very tired. We woke up to this amazing view.

We wondered what these strange purple people were doing
The old town was full of cobbled streets, plazas and churches which were fabulous on the inside, and always seemed to have mass going on!
Quito is very hilly..... We really noticed the altitude... Quito is the 2nd highest capital in the world at 2800m
We became breathless walking up and down.
