This morning was our last morning in the rain forest and our last canoe trip. We were very lucky to see a rare woolly western possum and to hear the red howler monkeys calling - they are the loudest monkey in the world. The call sounds more like lions growling than a howl, but it travels for miles. A few views below - big trees, Rodrigo pointing out more monkeys, and a squirrel monkey (finally we got a good shot).
As we were packing in the morning, we found the toilet seat that we had released into the wild , had found its way back to us and was sleeping on the hammock. We took pity and decided to take it with us to Papallacta, our next destination in the highlands.
